Sr. Accounting Analyst Position
General Purpose:
The Sr. Accounting Analyst reports to CFO. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to billing,
general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, collection, and various special analyses.
This role often requires working collaboratively with others in the organization to properly execute
transactions.
Responsibilities/Duties:
Accounting:
Responsible for general ledger accounts reconciliation
Maintain and reconcile bank accounts
Research and reconcile accounting discrepancies.
Perform journal entries and account reconciliations.
Billing:
Create and send out manual invoices to customers
Issue customers with statements
Ensure that client files are updated with payments or credits
Highlight any discrepancies between shipping logs and invoice accounts.
Keep the contact information files updated for all customers
Accounts Receivable and Collection:
Responsible for posting and reconciling customer payments
Responsible for collecting account receivable customer’s balances on a timely and
courteous manner
Responsible for researching, analyzing, root cause analysis and problem solving of
customer deductions and disputes.
Release/hold orders on queue within established company guidelines.
Respond to all inquiries via phone, e-mail, and mail or in person within a timely manner,
per department standards and update internal files as appropriate.
Analyze payment patters and perform account reconciliations
Follow-up with all customers with collection or debit memo problems, and/or on hold
status.
Handle customer concerns or requests regarding incorrect billings, credit policy
discounts, and/or return of merchandise requests.
Accounts Payable:
Completes payments
Completes payments and controls expenses by receiving, processing, verifying, and
reconciling invoices.
Reconciles processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to
balances.
Charges expenses to accounts and cost centers by analyzing invoice/expense reports,
recording entries.
Maintains accounting ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions.
Verifies vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions.
Performs other work-related duties as required and assigned.
Assist in other departments as required and assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Accounting Degree and a minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in a business
to business (B2B) and Business to Customer (B2C) context in credit and or customer
service.
Knowledge of invoicing and payment applications is necessary.
Credit, collections, and/or accounts receivable experience preferred.
Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced
environment.
Possess exceptional interpersonal communication skills with the ability to adapt to
various communication styles.
Strong analytical and research skills to be used for problem-solving and dispute
resolution.
Proficient in Excel, Microsoft Office, and Accounting System, preferably SAP
Ability to maintain good working relationships with customers, vendors and other WSS
employees.
Ability to function as a team player.
Exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost accounting, and cost
control principles, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

Winning Streak Sports may allow this role to temporarily work from home to ensure business continuity
during the Covid-19 Pandemic.
Prospective WFH employees will be advised of such possibilities and requirements by their department
manager. Should this role be provided with WFH privileges, Winning Streak Sports will secure
appropriate equipment needs, such as hardware, software, phone, and data lines. The Winning Streak
Sports IT department or IT Service Provider is available to review these equipment needs with
employees and to provide support to employees in advance of emergency telework situations.
For voluntary WFH/telework, telecommuting arrangements, either the employee or department
manager can initiate a temporary telecommuting agreement during Covid-19 Pandemic circumstances.
The employee and manager will discuss the job responsibilities and determine if the job is appropriate
for a telecommuting arrangement, including equipment needs, workspace design considerations, and
scheduling issues.
A Covid-19 WFH/telework, telecommuting agreement will be prepared by Winning Streak Sports and
signed by the employee and his or her manager.
The employee will establish an appropriate work environment within his or her home for work purposes.
Winning Streak Sports will not be responsible for costs associated with the setup of the employee’s
home office, such as remodeling, furniture, or lighting, nor for repairs or modifications to the home office
space.
Winning Streak Sports will determine the equipment needs for each employee on a case-by-case basis.
Equipment supplied by the organization is to be used for business purposes only and is wholly owned
by the company.
Consistent with the organization's expectations of information security for employees working at the
office, telecommuting employees will be expected to ensure the protection of proprietary company and
customer information accessible from their home office.
Employees should not assume any specified period for Covid-19 Pandemic WFH/telework
arrangements and Winning Streak Sports may require employees to return to regular, in-office work at
any time.
