Technical Support Specialist
West Agro, Inc.d/b/a DeLaval Manufacturing is seeking a Technical Support Specialist to join our team in Kansas City, Missouri.
Job Description
Assist with solving technical-related support questions from Local Sales Organizations and Dealer personnel within USA, Mexico, and Canada. Support the DeLaval field staff and dealer employees with technical product related questions. Log and respond to customer queries in a timely manner. Provide technical, classroom-based training for field staff and dealer employees. Maintain a strong customer focus on a daily basis across all channels including, phone, email, dealer web portal, and in person meetings. Troubleshoot technical and software issues on dairy farms; specifically milking, vacuum, and herd management software systems.
Job Requirements
- Employer requires Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Equipment, Software Application, Mechatronics, Engineering, or related field, and two years of relevant experience. Alternatively, employer will also accept five years of experience with dairy farm equipment installation, service, and repair, which must include milk extraction systems, herd management systems, clean in place systems, and dairy robotics.
- Two years of experience working with both conventional and automatic milking systems.
- One year of office experience with farm management dairy systems and software.
- Experience with both farm animal handling and husbandry, including milking routines and milking machines.
- Technical product training for adults.
- Managing installation or update projects on dairy farms.
