Research Project Coordinator (Regional Director)

We are seeking 1-2 full time Research Project Coordinators (working title-Regional Director) to expand the evidence-based CW-FIT intervention to rural schools by utilizing a CW-FIT Micro-credentialing program embedded in a Rural Coaching Model. Rural Coaches will be trained by CW-FIT Regional Directors and will then, in turn, train teachers. The research project focuses on implementing the rural coaching model in elementary & middle school classrooms to enhance classroom management and improve student’s academic performance. The partners in the project will include 120 schools and 480 teachers across rural California, New York, Montana, Minnesota, Tennessee, Texas, and Kansas. 

Research Project Coordinators will oversee efforts including recruitment, training, site management, cross-site coordination, and conference presentations. A willingness to travel out of state and to be flexible in scheduling around school schedules are required. This position requires strong organizational, communication, and management skills as evidenced in work experience. 

The position is at JGCP, located in downtown Kansas City, Kansas in the Children’s Campus of Kansas City building: 444 Minnesota Ave, Suite 300, Kansas City, KS 66101. Reimbursement for travel in addition to salary.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • 45% - Coordinate efforts with project team in accordance with the project’s proposed plan and timeline, including recruiting participants, training coaches, and monitoring the micro-credential program & the video coaching software to support teachers. 
  • 20% - Coordinate and schedule travel to remote site(s) to meet with school district partners to recruit, coordinate, support, and monitor activities based on approved plan and timeline. Minimum 4 times a year for up to 1-week each visit. 
  • 20% - Coordinate efforts with an independent evaluation team to conduct assessments including video-direct observation of classrooms and survey administration.
  • 10% - In collaboration with principal investigators, produce reports and presentations to communicate findings and progress at both regional and national rural conferences.
  • 5% - Coordinate efforts with Implementation Director to monitor Business Service Agreements with Rural Site and Participating Schools while monitoring participant efforts and distributing stipend payments.  

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Bachelor's degree in education, special education, behavior analysis, psychology, or related field or Elementary/Secondary teaching certificate.

  2. One (1) year of experience in collaborating using video-conferencing tools such as Zoom, Skype, or Teams as evidenced by application materials.

  3. Experience working independently with multiple individuals and with limited supervision, as evidenced in application materials and work history.

  4. Strong organizational skills demonstrated by application materials and previous work experience.

Position Requirements:

  1. Out of state travel. 

  2. Flexibility in scheduling around school schedules.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Master's degree in education, special education, behavior analysis, psychology, or related field.

  2. One (1) year experience with remote coaching and or mentoring.

  3. One (1) year minimum experience in administration, monitoring, or development of an LMS (Learning Management Systems) (e.g., Canvas, Brightspace or Blackboard).

  4. Experience in a time-sensitive, detail-oriented field, as evidenced by application materials.

  5. Experience with university business policies and procedures or similar systems.

FTE: 1.0 

START DATE: February 13, 2023

SALARY:  $58,000--$63,500
