The UCM Counseling Center seeks a licensed and experienced clinician to join our staff. This is a 9-month position, covering the academic year, typically from early/mid-August to early/mid-May. Primary Responsibilities - Brief clinical services to college students, including: o Initial consultation o Crisis intervention o Individual, couples, and group counseling - Appropriate and timely documentation of clinical contacts - Outreach and psychoeducation on developmental and mental health issues - Consultation to faculty/staff, family, and friends of students of concern Qualifications - Masters degree in Counseling or Social Work or related field - Licensed for independent practice in the State of Missouri as Professional Counselor or Clinical Social Worker - Four years relevant clinical experience, at least two years post-licensure - Experience working with college population highly desirable Other Requirements - Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a university setting - Ability to work with diverse populations - Exercise of professional boundaries and clinical confidentiality - Adherence to relevant federal and state laws and professional ethical guidelines - Commitment to professional learning and growth Note: A background check is required for the selected candidate of this position and any job offer is contingent on the results of this check.
