Position: Shipping Associate

This is shipping position in a small environment and acting as backup for the warehouse and delivery driver. The expectations of this position are, shipment of product from the fulfillment center, communications to account managers and sales reps, and daily management of carriers and all aspects as related to the shipping process.

PAY RATE: $19/hr

Basic functions of this position include:

• Daily shipping of small parcel packages via UPS, Fed Ex, USPS through the shipping management software (ShipStore by Applied Resources).
• Shipping LTL shipments, by obtaining rate quotes, wrapping and banding accordingly, securing skid tags, finalizing the paperwork, and notification of the appropriate carrier for pickup.
• Work directly with the fulfillment team, account managers and sales reps to ensure all customer shipments, deliveries, and pickups are completed in a timely manner and to the satisfaction of the customer.
• Manage and maintain details and organization of large future shipments
• Manage the carrier pickups, and manage drop trailers, live loads, and skim pickups
• Resolve, any, and all issues such as shipped to an incorrect address, damaged product, lost product, late delivery, etc.
• Help with any and all other aspect of the fulfillment center as needed.

Requirements:

• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Computer knowledge (Microsoft Office)
• Ability to learn, and grasp the knowledge of the new software as introduced
• Knowledge, or the ability to learn and understand the requirements of foreign shipments
• Ability to multi-task, perform under pressure, and meet deadlines in a fast paste environment
• Attention to detail, as each client is unique
• Time management and problem-solving skills
• The ability to lift up to 70 pounds repeatedly
• Ability to operate manual and electric power pallet jack
• Dependability - due to the limited number of employees able to use the shipping software.
• Overtime will be required at times (early morning, evenings, weekends, & possibly holidays
• Physical Demands of this Position:
• Bending, Lifting, Twisting, Sitting, Stacking, and Walking frequently throughout the day
• Lifting up to 70 pounds frequently, pushing and pulling
• Perform activities that use the whole body
• Able to work in a non-climate-controlled environment.
• Able to stand or sit for long period of time.
• Receiving and inventory knowledge for warehouse backup
• Class E driver’s license and clean driving record
