The Seventeenth Judicial Circuit of Missouri – Office of the Juvenile Officer is hiring for the position of Chief Juvenile Officer (Juvenile Officer V). This is a highly responsible administrative and professional level position tasked with management of the operational, personnel, and case management processes within the juvenile offices of Cass and Johnson counties, Missouri. The starting salary is $ 48,852.00 per year.
Minimum requirements: Graduation from a four year college with a degree in criminal justice administration, social work, or a related field and a minimum of five (5) years management experience in juvenile justice or child welfare. Preferred experience/competencies include: work experience in the Missouri juvenile justice and child welfare systems with demonstrated knowledge as to Missouri statutes and rules regarding juvenile cases and juvenile court processes; a high level of competency as to principles and practices of management; program development and evaluation expertise; the ability to effectively communicate and facilitate public relations on behalf of the juvenile office; successful grant writing and grant management experience; and the ability to manage the financial resources and budgetary process for the juvenile office.
