Here’s What You’ll Do to Help us to Succeed:

  • Demonstrate expertise in the features and benefits of digital advertising services.
  • Lead the consultative sales process from lead identification through close.
  • Understand and analyze client challenges and map Kansas City Star/Excelerate capabilities and solutions to those needs.
  • Develop a sustainable sales pipeline to meet and exceed forecasted revenue targets.
  • Deliver persuasive sales presentations to business owners and decision makers.
  • Demonstrate a high level of digital acumen.

To Successfully Fill This Role You Are:

  • Experienced in selling solutions as opposed to products – and understand the difference between the two.
  • Digitally savvy and understand how to position Search, Social,Programmatic, Mobile and Video.
  • Client-centric and believe in over-delivering at every opportunity.
  • Passionate about your sales craft.
  • Master of translating clients’ needs into business opportunities.
  • Successful in growing new business and/or new revenue.
  • Able to pivot quickly without losing speed, focus or quality.
  • An ambassador for the brand.
  • Proficient in Sales Force.
  • Experienced in digital sales.
