Manufacturing Engineering Manager
ENGINEERING: Tenneco Automotive Operating Company Inc. is seeking a full-time
Manufacturing Engineering Manager at our offices in North Kansas City, MO. The
Manufacturing Engineering Manager leads and directs all work related to the Quality,
Engineering, Maintenance, Continuous Improvement, and Launch activities for the
Kansas City site. This position is responsible for the manufacturing department’s costs,
methods, operations, quality, and quantity of production. This position requires a
Master’s degree or equivalent in Materials Science and Engineering, Engineering, or a
related field and 3 years related experience. Must also have 12 months of demonstrated
ability (which may have been gained concurrently) with each of the following: (1)
writing and qualifying welding specifications (WPS) and welder qualification (WPQ)
with respect to ASME IX and AWS D.1 welding codes; (2) reviewing various Non
Destructive Evaluation (NDE) activities such as UT, RT, MT and PT (evaluate to ASME
and AWS code standards); (3) reviewing various inspection activities such as raw
material identification, heat treatment, welding, and surface finish; (4) failure
investigation and troubleshooting in welding process; and (5) working with CI, 8D, and
Kaizen. Employer will accept experience gained concurrently. Will accept experience
gained before, during or after Master’s program. This position requires less than 10%
