The Setnor School of Music in the College of Visual and Performing Arts at Syracuse University invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor of Piano, with a start date of August 15, 2024. The successful candidate will be an accomplished artist who is dedicated to teaching applied piano and related courses. We welcome applications from candidates engaged in the performance of underrepresented musicians and music repertoire and theoretical systems from non-Western cultures, and whose work exhibits vitality, ingenuity, and leadership. A doctorate is required. The chosen candidate will be expected to serve on various university, college, and school committees, establish ongoing professional activity as a performer and participate actively in student recruitment.
