Budget Supervisor

Upstate Medical University in Syracuse NY is looking for a Budget Supervisor to join our Financial Services-General Department.

Under the direction of the Budget Manager, the Budget Supervisor will have several functions:

1) Will oversee and review Financial & Statistical Reporting and Operating Budgeting Functions.

2) Assist and Review increased requests for more frequent and more detailed reporting for Upstate Internally, SUNY Admin. & Various Survey Customers.

3) Participate in preparation of the Annual Operating Budget.

4) Review and Analyze Budget requests submitted by Department Heads.

5) Assist with preparation of Financial and Statistical Budgets for the annual Hospital Audit with the General Accounting Department.

6) Supervises Financial Analysts.

Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or Healthcare Administration required. A minimum of 4 years finance/accounting or budget experience. Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills necessary. Analytical skills with an expertise in Microsoft Office required. Must possess technical skills with data processing capabilities. Advance Excel spreadsheet and PowerPoint knowledge essential.

Preferred qualifications: Masters degree preferred. Experience with healthcare field a plus. Supervisory experience preferred.
