Salisbury University is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Administrative Assistant II in the Henson Medical Simulation Center.
Primary Job Duties: Under the supervision of the Director of the Henson Medical Simulation Center and the CHHS Business Manager, the administrative assistant II provides complex administrative support to the Director of the Henson Medical Stimulation Center and two full time program coordinators. Responsibilities include internal and external communication, coordination of all staff calendars and SIM Center room reservations, tracking utilization of all P1 and P2 instructional spaces, scheduling meetings, appointments, and learning experiences, assisting with the planning/coordination of internal and external community events, and overseeing SIM Center access. Responsibilities also include budget tracking and reconciliation, inventory control, initiating and tracking purchase and work orders, preparing internal and external contracts, assisting with invoicing and reimbursements, maintaining and updating SIM Center website and social media, providing SIM Center tours, and assisting in running simulations.
Minimum Qualifications: High School diploma or GED. Three years of experience providing administrative support. Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Word, PowerPoint, Publisher, Excel, and web authoring software.
General knowledge of and skill in the application of generally accepted office practices and procedures. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Ability to proofread and edit documents. Skilled in word processing, spreadsheets, presentation programs, internet, e-mail, and calendaring software. Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions. Ability to interact effectively with internal and external parties in a courteous and efficient manner. Ability to plan, organize, prioritize, and execute multiple and continuing assignments with general instructions.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with PeopleSoft.
The position is a full-time, non-exempt State position with full benefits. Starting pay will be $18.81 per hour which is approximately $39,232.00 annually with a 2.5% increase after a satisfactory six-month probationary period.
