Description |
The Richmond Behavioral Health Authority is seeking 10 full time REACH Technicians for the Child-Crisis Therapeutic Home (CTH). The successful candidates will perform intermediate skilled human support work maintaining the safety of clients, monitoring clients with special needs, coordinating meals, meal preparation and serving clients, facilitating educational groups and clinical , teaching clients coping skills, performing and assisting clients with laundry duties, encouraging clients to adhere to treatment requirements, and related work as apparent or assigned. Work is performed under the moderate supervision of the REACH Lead Tech Essential Functions Facilitates and leads group activities; engages clients. Monitors and assists clients with activities of daily living. Administer medications in accordance with all regulatory bodies. Performs customer service duties by meeting and greeting clients upon arrival for treatment; admits clients to the unit by taking inventory of belongings; conducts tours and orientation of unit; cleans and maintains bedrooms. Maintains the safety and cleanliness of the unit. Performs laundry duties for unit and client laundry; assists clients with special needs; prepares and serves meals. Prepares and maintains clinical documentation and completes progress notes; completes shift reports; complete documentation in accordance with medication administration requirements. Maintain organized programming areas and kitchen. Coordinates discharges in full consultation with the Clinical team. The incumbent must possess the ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing and work collaboratively with the individual, their guardians, support system, and the REACH Team regarding any significant events, the individuals needs, and their response to interventions. |
Position Requirements |
Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in human services and at least 1 year of experience working with children who have mental health and / or behavioral challenges. Must also have experience working with individuals who have intellectual and developmental disabilities. Knowledge of the MH/DD/SUD systems preferred. Current CPR and First-Aid certification and knowledge of verbal interventions and non-violent crisis interventions, or ability to obtain such during orientation period. QMHP-C Required Other Requirements: Flexible work hours, to include evenings, weekends, overnights and holidays, are required. Must maintain a valid VA Driver's License. Starting Salary Range | $19.36/hr. plus 6.25% differential |
