8:00 AM to 4:30 PM (Monday – Friday)

A flexible work schedule may be approved with up to two days remote work per week.

Salary Range: Hourly from $33.61 to $48.66; Annually from $70,178 to $101,602

*Salary placement is dependent on education and experience

POSITION DESCRIPTION

The Director of Education Pathways oversees, supervises, and manages all aspects of the college’s matriculation to education programs, including its two major cohort programs, SPEDUP and Sirtify®. This position plans, organizes, leads, develops, implements, and maintains the cohort programs to ensure student success, increase education opportunities in the region, fund program and student support, and comply with federal, state, and private grant funding requirements.

In collaboration with the dean and education program faculty, the Director of Education Pathways develops secondary-postsecondary college and career pathways in special and elementary education. This position supervises staff and provides leadership to increase enrollment in the college’s education programs and plays a critical role in outreach to high schools to increase access and opportunities for diverse populations traditionally underserved by higher education. This position works directly with people from diverse racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic communities. Through individual and departmental efforts, this position actively engages in the college’s strategic efforts to achieve equity in educational outcomes, increase completion rates, and ensure a culturally-responsive and service-oriented college culture.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Qualifications (expected to have to enter job)

  • Bachelor’s degree in education, business administration, or related field.
  • Three (3) years of professional related work experience in higher education, specifically in admissions, recruitment, programming, education, grant programs, partnership programs, or other related areas.
  • Experience in grant management.

  • The ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse higher education community.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Experience working with sensitive and confidential data and documents
  • Demonstrated success in collaborating with others in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications (desired but not expected to have to enter job)

  • Master's Degree or higher from an accredited institution.
  • Supervisory experience.
  • Experience leading strategic enrollment or academic programming that targets students from historically marginalized communities.
  • Experience with the development of traditional and non-traditional K-12 and university partnership programs.
