 BASIC PURPOSE OF POSITION: 

Internal Auditor will be responsible for contributing to the design and implementation of audit processes, procedures and methodologies, developing and monitoring customized audit programs, planning and performing operational audits to ensure compliance with applicable federal and state regulations, bank policies and procedures, internal controls, and generally accepted internal audit standards

 PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES 

 Conducts independent audits and examinations of Bank records to ensure compliance with laws and regulations and internal controls as directed 

 Responsible for writing audit reports detailing exceptions noted in testing and making recommendations to address the audit exceptions to be submitted to the CIA 

 Review management responses to audit findings and recommendations to ensure they have responded in an acceptable manner 

 Assists the Chief Internal Auditor in implementing new or revised internal audit policies and procedures 

 Provide guidance to Bank departments as needed. 

 OPERATIONS, SECURITY & COMPLIANCE 

Operations: 

 Assists Chief Internal Auditor, examiners and external auditors as needed 

 Prepares written reports of internal audit reviews, including findings, analyses, conclusions and recommended actions to be submitted to Chief Internal Auditor. 

 Perform audits in all areas of the Bank (internal controls, compliance with regulations, compliance with internal policies and procedures). 

 Other duties as assigned.

 Timely, thorough, and accurate completion of work assignments 

 Works well with employees, auditors and examiners 

 Exhibits sound and accurate judgment 

 Displays a strong work ethic and integrity. 

PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE 

 Minimum 4 years of internal auditing experience required. 

 Minimum of 2 years in a financial institution preferred. 

 HMDA and/or CRA experienced preferred.
