ABOUT THE CAMPAIGN FINANCE BOARD
The New York City campaign Finance Board is a nonpartisan, independent city agency that enhances the role of New York City residents in elections. We are dedicated to making our local democracy more open, transparent, and equitable. We eliminate barriers to participation by providing access to the information and resources New Yorkers need to vote or run for office and reduce the corrupting influence of money in politics by enhancing the impact of New Yorkers’ small-dollar contributions.

ABOUT THE UNIT/DEPARTMENT
Administrative Operations provides professional support with a variety of tasks. Here in Admin Operations, we handle coordinating, planning, and directing services that support the running of the NYC Campaign Finance Board. Such day-to-day operations include record keeping, telephone operations, front office operations, mail distribution, facilities, and data management. Admin Operations also has a hand in the safety, quality of the CFB floor, staffing, and the daily management of the building.
THE ROLE
We are looking for an Operations Associate to join our team and support our organization by managing the day-to-day tasks and administrative needs of our business operations. You will report to the Director of Administrative Operations, the Operations Associate responsibilities include completing various administrative tasks, enforcing the organization’s policies and standards, and working in facilities. Ultimately, you will work with various departments across the organization to ensure all administrative and operational tasks are completed as needed.
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Assist the Operations Manager in daily management.
- Execute administrative tasks.
- Maintain schedule of operations.
- Cooperate with different departments.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
- Proficient in MS Office.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Hard working and detail oriented.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in business preferred.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a professional business environment.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong business acumen.
- High attention to detail.
- Proficient in technology especially Microsoft Office applications
- Knowledge of DCAS oversight functions and policies
- Knowledge of office space management (renovations, leases, and facilities related contracts)
ESSENTIAL SKILLS
- Proven work experience as an Operations Associate or similar role
- Excellent communication and listening skills
- Ability to work under pressure
- Strong computer proficiency
- Experience with inventory management, database, or similar software is beneficial
- Relevant training and/or certifications as an Operations Associate
