Associate Vice President of Human Resources
Under the direction of the President, the Associate Vice President (AVP) of Human Resources serves as the chief human resources officer and the College’s primary representative responsible for enhancing the performance, satisfaction, and success of employees. The AVP of Human Resources is responsible for articulating the College mission, values, goals, and strategies, while working collaboratively with the President’s Cabinet to achieve institutional objectives. This includes fostering a climate of service excellence, collaboration, recognition, and respect. Additionally, the AVP is responsible for the overall leadership and administration of the functional activities of the Human Resources Department, including: employee relations; talent acquisition and management; employee retention and recognition; compensation and benefits; labor strategy and negotiation; regulatory compliance; and wellness initiatives. Ultimately, this critical position provides overall leadership, direction, and support for planning, organizing, maintaining, and evaluating the Human Resources functions for McHenry County College.
