Audience Growth Editor
At The Star-Telegram, the reader comes first, last and always. Serving readers in a crowded media market means we must be the best and most relevant source of journalism. And we must work hard to reach people, wherever they are. That’s where the Audience Growth Editor comes in.
The successful candidate will ensure our journalism is laser-focused on serving and growing our digital audience by crafting effective headlines, by ensuring SEO and metadata are correct, by looking for video opportunities and by spotting potential stories in social and digital spaces. He or she will engage with readers on social platforms, answering questions and providing helpful links and context.
He or she will have a demonstrated commitment to change -- to constantly adapting to the ever-evolving ways in which readers seek out and interact with journalism. This person will also have an enthusiastic participation in ongoing conversations about what’s working and what’s not -- and an equally enthusiastic commitment to adapting accordingly.
