Position: 

Team Lead

 

Job Summary:

 

To ensure all necessary materials and equipment needed for the work area are provided; instruct and monitor assigned employees to ensure daily objectives are met.

 

Essential Functions:

 

  • Ensures the production area is set-up with appropriate materials, parts and tools to satisfy the daily production schedule. Provides instructions to machine operators, packers, or assemblers and monitors for quality and efficiency.
  • Verifies parts are fabricated, assembled, and/or packed correctly with proper description and quantity.
  • Assists with training production employees.
  • Inspects parts for damage or irregularities.
  • Completes proper documentation.
  • Communicate any problems to the supervisor.
  • Adheres to all safety guidelines.
  • Incorporates shop floor organization and plant cleanliness among personnel.
  • Handles other essential tasks as assigned.

 

Job Skills:

 

  • Ability to operate an industrial forklift, if required.
  • Verbal and written communication skills.
  • Reading and math skills.
  • Knowledge of JDE and basic computer skills.
  • Frequent walking and standing.
  • Ability to lift or move typically 30-50 lbs.
  • Other physical demands – stooping, kneeling, handling, etc.
  • Ability to work overtime on short notice.

 

Qualifications:

 

  • 1-2 years of manufacturing, packing, or assembly experience is preferred.
  • Pass a company forklift driving test, if required.
  • All candidates must be at least 18 years of age or older and possess either a High School Diploma or an equivalent G.E.D.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
