Garden Center Retail Manager Lanoha Nurseries, Inc., a leading retail garden center in Omaha, NE. is looking for an individual who wants professional and personal growth in a take charge environment. The role of the manager will provide customer service, and generate increased store sales within key department's locations with merchandise placement, display, and changes. The qualified candidate must possess experience in Scheduling, Open/Closing routines, setting up displays, buying, customer service and good communications skills. Strong computer skills along with horticultural and industry knowledge preferred.
Responsibilities: - Drive sales and profitability through proper merchandising and overall presentation of specific departments. - Manager department assistants and supervisors to effectively communicate store displays and setup for inbound merchandise. - Ensures staff maintains display areas daily for cleanliness and presentable for the following day. - Manager functions for opening / closing, money handling, cashiering functions, and staff training. - Work with vendors for delivery schedules, credit, and returns. - Manage purchasing budgets to maximize store profitability. - Provide innovative ideas for the in store set up and process. - Ability to multi task and meet deadlines - Understanding of basic business concepts including budget, profit and loss, retail operations. - Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word - Ability to work a full time schedule including evening, weekends, and holidays. - Exceptional customer service skills. - Positive attitude a must!
