Graduation Advisors in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences (College Advising & Student Services) are part of a fast paced office, serving a large caseload of excited undergraduate students pursuing degrees in the liberal arts and sciences. This position works directly with students approaching graduation and in special populations, and also completes a large volume of independent reviews of academic requirements for the purpose of degree certification, athletics eligibility, and other key determinations. The Graduation Advisor helps create an advising environment where differences are valued and each person is supported. Students work with their graduation advisor in tandem with the student’s assigned academic advisor, and are also connected to faculty advisors/mentors in their chosen area of study. This position also collaborates with campus partners on key advising initiatives.
Graduation Advisors bring a positive, collaborative attitude to the CASS team, and help maintain a supportive atmosphere both within their team and in College Advising & Student Services as a whole.
