Extensive training will be provided to the successful candidate selected to fill this unique opportunity through a variety of methods including self-paced study modules, one on one education with experienced providers, and an intensive fellowship with a regional training center. An excellent opportunity for someone looking to communicate with a variety of people on a daily basis through technical assistance to professionals. After training, the incumbent will work with public health staff and private providers across the state to prevent the spread of tuberculosis. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential. This Nurse Consultant is responsible for monitoring all tuberculosis diseases cases reported in Kansas and assuring best practice guidance for the control and prevention of disease is provided through the public and private healthcare continuum. This position is based in Topeka, KS.
