South Kansas City Law Firm seeks an Legal File Administrator to also serve as a back-up Receptionist. Job duties include sorting of documents for twenty seven lawyers and filing them in physical case files; maintaining inventory of case files; inbound mail sorting and delivery as well as outbound mail preparation; file room management, including logging/sending/retrieving from offsite storage; back-up receptionist handling phone calls, visitors & meeting room preparation. Occasional help to Paralegals is also required; Also learn the software used by the firm for legal case management and train new users. This is an entry level, full-time position. Hours are 8:00 to 5:00 Monday-Friday. This is an excellent entry position for someone who recently obtained a Paralegal Certificate. Some Paralegal duties are included in this position. Must be able to carry file boxes up and down stairs. Professional demeanor, dress and phone etiquette required. Strong organizational and time management skills. Must be able to lift and carry heavy file boxes and go up and down stairs.
