POSITION PURPOSE AND EXAMPLES OF WORK:
To supervise warehouse, courier and inventory functions related to supplies, equipment, materials and other commodities.
Maintain asset and inventory records, process orders and account transactions for supplies, equipment, materials and other
commodities. Maintain pre-determined levels of stock merchandise through automated inventory control by data entry of materials
movement and placement of orders depending on supply and demand.
Keep equipment serviced and functional. Utilize automated inventory and asset systems, entering and modifying coding,
costs, adding and closing out items.
Run routine and non-routine reports.
Receive in, verify and examine delivered goods and commodities; store and issue supplies, forms and furniture, equipment and
surplus property; order stock supplies; handle surplus item transfers to county surplus. Verify delivered items against purchase
orders to determine quantities, correctness, quality and conformance to orders; Maintain asset status in inventory system; order
stock supplies; handle surplus item transfers to county surplus.
· Schedule, assign, guide and monitor work of staff.
· Make recommendations on hiring, retention, discipline and related personnel functions.
· Evaluate employee performance.
· Train and coach staff.
Monitor progress and schedule of Court building improvements.
· Oversee and personally monitor Court vendor projects and county projects such as carpet removal and installation,
painting, etc. which can require weekend and evening work. Perform related duties, i.e. vehicle maintenance, meeting
setups, Records Center assistance, etc.
· Ensure vehicles are properly maintained, serviced and repaired.
· Set up equipment and rooms for meetings and restore room when done.
Oversee furniture and equipment moves.
Ability to operate a vehicle in a safe and prudent manner. Ability to move and lift boxes above the head repeatedly with
occasional boxes weighing up to 80 pounds.
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High School diploma or equivalent. Some college level course work preferred.
Two years directly related experience in warehousing and inventory. Some supervisory or lead worker experience
preferred. Experience must be in service oriented capacity. Knowledge of automated asset and inventory
systems beneficial.
Education above the minimum stated may be substituted on a year for year basis for the required general
experience; experience above the minimum stated may be substituted on a year for year basis for the required
education.
Knowledge of general warehouse practices, procedures and management. Knowledge of automated asset and
inventory systems beneficial.
Ability to remain calm and in control in emergency or stressful situations.
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, and to prepare clear, complete and logical reports.
Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
Ability to work and relate in a positive fashion toward individuals from diverse backgrounds and maintain effective
working relationships.
Ability to operate a vehicle in a safe and prudent manner. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Valid driver’s license from
state of residence. If driving non-court vehicle for Court business, must have auto liability insurance and properly
licensed and reliable vehicle. Must be able to provide proof of the above. Must submit to and pass criminal
background check as prescribed by Courts. Employees for this position are subject to reasonable suspicion testing
for illegal drug use.
