JOB SUMMARY

Assist in planning and implementation of a strategic direction for the requirements received from the Departments of Revenue for individual State business taxes. Create and maintain documentation on internal architecture of the HRB software application and process Wiki files. Create, approve, and assign E-file tickets using Azure DevOps dashboards as per XML schemas received from the state DOR. Write code using VB.net on Visual Studio to create classes, interfaces, and functions to construct the business logic in the regulatory code base using GIT. Perform maintenance and rollover of company internal tools using C# and VB.Net. Configure and modify CI/CD pipelines and develop builds to deploy application and artifacts via ADO repos. Assist Tax analysts in updating user stories by converting tax requirements to acceptance criteria. Use Project Management sub-concepts such as cost, risk, time analysis to provide views in process planning and team decision making meetings about Standups, standard operating procedures, trainings, dashboards, and other processes. Lead technical design and code reviews for all enhancements and maintenance work delivered by the development team on Azure DevOps (ADO). Assist teammates and mentees with complex code functionality and tax workflow. Create, maintain, and execute complex unit test and alpha test plans using C# N-Unit. Debug the business logic and handle bug fixes to maintain the stability of the system during the tax season. Assist QA team with production support cases by using Bomgar to remote into local tax offices and fix issues and Salesforce dashboard to track and respond back to the clients. Diagnose and resolve production issues within the system with direct integrations to the domain while facilitating cross team interactions and act as the POC for the Business regulatory team within the company where necessary. Act as a Squad leader to other Developers, Tax Analysts and Quality Analyst, and make squad-level decisions. Coordinate and conduct working sessions on Microsoft Teams to plan, develop, fix issues non-compliant with predefined QA test plans on ADO, and handover the product to the state DOR in time for certification. Represent Dev in defects triage meetings and E-certification calls with other leads and product managers to decide the right course of action in line with the Agile methodology. Conduct stand-up to follow up with the day-to-day activities of the team and communicate the business expectations, dashboards, processes, numbers, build releases and other updates. Meet-up one-on-one with squad members to give them performance feedback and assess any areas in which they need help.

 

QUALIFICATIONS                                                      

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Information Systems, or a related field.

Five years of software development lifecycle experience to include:

  • Agile methodology.
  • Write code in VB.Net and C# using Visual Studio.
  • Queries using LINQ.
  • Design and code reviews on Azure DevOps (ADO.Net)
  • Web application tools: ASP.NET, XML, Web Services, MVC.
  • Project sharing and management tools: NuGet, Powershell, and Bomgar.
  • Create, analyze, execute and assert C# N-Unit Test cases using Test Driven Development (TDD) methodology.

Two years of which must include:

  • API design using Swagger UI. 
  • CI/CD pipelines.
  • Version control tracking using GIT.

In lieu of a Bachelor's degree plus five/two years of experience, a Master's plus three/two years of experience is acceptable.
