The Quality Assurance Manager will work with the Director of Operations to develop and implement strategies and quality standards for Grandstand Glassware + Apparel ("Grandstand"). The position will plan, direct and formulate quality control policies that focus and improve Grandstand's 'Customer First' initiatives. Major Duties: Create and promote a culture of quality by ensuring that employees are aware of quality requirements and are responsible for managing their own quality standards through training and best practices. Develop, implement and monitor a quality assurance program to reduce the number of defects and improve levels of quality that drive customer experience. Develop and review statistical data from production lines to identify quality problems and recommend changes to production processes or quality controls to eliminate the problem. Analyze records of product returns to identify specific problems or trends over time. Determine course of action on orders with quality issues. Hire, train, supervise and provide performance feedback to inspectors who carry out the detailed assessment of products at different stages of production. Provide documented quality standards as guidelines for inspectors day-to-day work. Stay abreast of rules and regulations and ensure that manufacturing processes comply with industry manufacturing standards. Perform additional duties as assigned by Management. Qualifications: High School diploma or GED required. Bachelors Degree in materials science, process or production engineering or other relevant degree preferred. At least two (2) years of experience in Lean or Manufacturing Management. Supervisory and employee development experience highly preferred. Knowledge of screen-print operations required. Ability to understand multifaceted written and oral instructions. Ability to effectively communicate, present information, and respond to questions in verbal and written format, both internally and externally. Ability to work independently or as part of a team, be highly motivated to organize, multi-task, plan and set priorities with minimal supervision. Ability to exercise good judgment with strong attention to detail. Ability to exhibit strong interpersonal communication skills and establish and maintain effective working relationship across all levels of Grandstand. Ability to use a computer proficiently to document information, create reports, track budgets, and communicate internally and externally. Must have a valid drivers license and proof of automobile insurance.
