Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:

Are you an ambitious and organized professional who enjoys collaborating with both internal and external customers?  We are looking for an energetic, go-getter to provide outstanding customer service in our insurance division.  As an Employee Benefits Customer Service Agent, you will support day-to-day operations of existing client benefit plans and strategize the creation and execution of new benefit plans. Our blended learning approach includes experiential, hands-on learning where you are able to work alongside a fellow team members to perform meaningful work. With active engagement with your assigned consultant and account manager, you will utilize your deep understanding of the insurance industry to implement new accounts, process renewals, create proactive customer service plans and so much more.

What You’ll Do:

  • The Daily Grind – Your focus will be supporting both internal and external customers in a variety of ways including engaging in collaborative sessions to design customers’ benefit plans, process and assist with daily maintenance of existing benefit plans through employee enrollments, consult with insurance company underwriters and representatives, work with customers directly to satisfy their needs, and more.
  • You’re Part of a Team – You are a member of the Insurance team which includes supporting our internal and external clients throughout Southern Indiana. This role offers amazing insight into the world of Insurance and offers a flexible working location for your convenience.
  • And you have to be able to juggle – Multiple and conflicting priorities will come up under specific time constraints. In concert with your leader and other team members, you have to be quick to act when issues arise.

What it Takes:

  • Valid Indiana Life and Health License or the ability to obtain a valid license within 20 days of employment.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience with account management support or similar role
  • Demonstrates skills in problem-solving, prioritizing projects, excellent organizational and time management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with keen attention to detail in creating professional presentations.

  • High School Diploma required / College Degree preferred.
