Senior Grant Management Accountant

The Full Employment Council, a premier workforce development organization is searching for a Senior Grant Management Accountant to work at our Kansas City, Missouri office.

This position reports directly to the Vice President/Chief Financial Officer and is responsible for: maintaining grant financial records ensuring that financial transactions are properly recorded. Prepare cash flow projections and process cash drawdown. Reconcile bank account, reconciles subsidiary ledger account to the general ledger, compiles financial data to aid in the preparations of different financial reports and invoices, forecast trends, and revenue and cost analysis of grants/projects, works with sub-contractors, reviews and processes employees and sub-contractors’ s expense submissions/reconciliation, prepare monthly expense and revenue entries for closing out monthly financial statements, prepare monthly cost allocation and accrual journal vouchers for all grants, maintain confidentiality of organization fiscal and client related information. The qualified applicant must have a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance (MBA preferred), minimum of one year of accounting and or/bookkeeping, knowledge of accounting, finance, and budgeting principles including GAAP experience, experience in non-profit accounting preferred but not required, excellent computer skills, (Microsoft Word,

Outlook, Excel, Quick Books), Paycom, strong analytical skills, excellent written/verbal communication skills, excellent verbal/written communications skills. Must pass a background check, must have personal vehicle, driver’s license, and auto insurance.

Salary range $48,000 -$52,000, generous benefits package that includes, health, dental and vision insurance, company paid life insurance, 9.7% retirement plan (403b), section 125 cafeteria plan, Employee Assistance Program (EAP), paid vacation and sick leave. And fitness program.
