Reports to: Director Career Services/Functional leader
The individual in this position is expected to perform all the details involved in the job, and on occasion, may be required to perform functions of a higher or lower skill level not included in this job description.
Primary Objective: The Career Navigator will serve as an advocate for the qualified applicants. In addition, the Career Navigator will also identify training gaps.
- Job Duties.
- Career Navigators will host career clinics
- Provides employer specifics information based on strategic information provided by the employer
- Provide monthly or quarterly, etc. and other reports regarding the number of persons referred, trained and or placed.
- Provide case management as necessary
- Will assess the effectiveness of the program and determine the number, wages, and retention of persons hired
- Match customers to job opportunities using mojos system
- Enter case notes into the Mojobs system appropriately and accurately
- Work effectively with placement and career readiness team members to ensure a customer friendly transition to implement training or follow-up services.
- Assist and guide clients in developing training and employment strategies that lead to career-oriented employment.
- Provides pre-employment and post-employment services in helping Customers achieve their career goals
- Conducts orientation on FEC programs
- Work with job placement of personnel to facilitate placement of job seekers and services to employer
- Provides follow-up services to FEC clientele to ensure retention in training programs and their results in employment and exceeding individual, team and agency goal
- Ensure clients are properly enrolled into workforce system according to Agency policy
- Other duties as assigned

- Computer skills are essential
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in work experience at the leadership level, dependent upon the position
Experience in career or vocational counseling preferred but not required
