At FCS Financial, part of the nationwide Farm Credit System, we are looking for a full-time Loan Officer to join our Commercial Livestock Team! FCS Financial is a member of the largest agriculture lending cooperative in the United States today. FCS Financial is seeking an independent, competitive, pro-active individual looking to build relationships with new and existing customers! This position is responsible for sales efforts, growth of relationships, credit administration, and ongoing management of large, complex, high-touch retail commercial accounts. This individual will actively market specialized loan and financial products and originate and maintain a large loan portfolio. Financial needs may be complex including credit facilities from $1 million to $10 million.
The employee in this position will develop an in-depth understanding of the assigned industry along with each customer and prospect to provide innovative and customer centric products and services to meet the needs of these accounts.
Responsibilities include analyzing complex financial information, making credit recommendations and providing credit packages in conjunction with the credit analyst. The goal is to meet and exceed the needs and expectations of the retail commercial customer and ensure quality loan administration and customer experience standards are met. The incumbent will be the primary Relationship Manager on an assigned portfolio and may also serve as secondary Relationship Manager on some Level 1 accounts.

Market Territory: Southwest Missouri
Preferred FCS Financial office locations are Harrisonville, Joplin, Lebanon, Nevada, Sedalia, and Springfield.
All FCS Office locations will be considered based off of the candidates' qualifications and needs.
This position is classified as Exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in agriculture, sales, finance or related field
- 1-3 years of related experience
- Or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job
- 1-3 years of Portfolio Management experience
Required Knowledge and Skills
- Strong passion, experience and knowledge of the specific retail industry segment (i.e. swine, beef, crop and/or agribusiness).
- Strong financial and credit analysis skills, with proven abilities in assessing risk and rewards in a competitive, retail lending environment.
- Demonstrated abilities in sales, developing new business, and leadership
- Excellent negotiating and influencing skills.
- Strong decision-making skills and a willingness to support and take responsibility for those decisions.
- Ability to obtain a general working knowledge of the Associations' processes and policies.
- Ability to execute and focus on a customer-centric philosophy vs. a product driven philosophy with all customer relationships
- Ability to service broad and diverse industries, with in-depth knowledge of specific industries.
- Strong written and oral communication skills including public speaking and presentation skills, and the ability and willingness to represent the Association.
- Accountable for a high level of commercial lending knowledge and expertise and be recognized within the Associations' retail business area as an expert and one of the premier lenders in the assigned industry.
- Ability to work in a collaborative team environment and adhere to the Associations' team principles and core values.
