FCS Financial is looking to hire an individual with a wide range of experience and capabilities who has a desire to serve in a cooperative structure. The Chief Risk Officer is part of the Leadership Team and directs the enterprise risk management function for FCS Financial including collateral and risk asset management loan portfolio monitoring and reporting, and analyzing and establishing risk thresholds for association operations. In addition, this position provides administrative oversight to the Internal Audit and Credit Review function. As the leader of the Risk Management department, this individual will provide strategic leadership by identifying, prioritizing and monitoring key association risks and working with Leadership to mitigate and address critical risk issues. The individual will engage with all departments to prioritize and establish risk-balanced process and thresholds, provide insight and guidance on the association’s risk tolerance and appetite, and serve as a key contact with our federal regulator and funding Bank. This position requires experience in enterprise risk management, credit administration, principles of internal controls, loan analysis, and credit underwriting standards. A bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics or related field; 10 years of experience in enterprise risk management, auditing, high risk credit analysis or closely related function; and seven years of supervisory experience is desired.
