Area Manager
EZ GO is Seeking an experienced Area Manager to organize and oversee the operations of our 5 locations on the Kansas Turnpike and 2 in Lincoln, Nebraska.
The Area Manager will assume responsibility for the overall success of the stores by setting targets, supervising store managers, and ensuring goals are attained. Effective area managers are skilled in managing diverse operations from a distance. They have a strategic mindset and are excellent leaders. Excellent abilities in financial and operations planning are essential for the role. The goal is to ensure our stores will meet and exceed expectations of business development and efficiency.
Job Description:
Area Manager
Oversee all store operations. Supervise store managers. Ensure that stores operate according to company policies.
Build skill levels of store teams. Assist them with customer relations and problem solving. Communicate and explain company goals. Verify training.
Loss prevention. Perform cash audits and monitor inventory counts. Respond to shortages.
Monitor stores for safety issues. Make sure we provide a safe place to work and shop. Be on call for store emergencies.
Respond to errors in paperwork. Train managers on paperwork issues where necessary and communicate any needs for improvement. Follow up to ensure compliance.
Help store managers with scheduling. Assist with finding team members to cover shifts. Check timesheets for proper use of labor hours and ensure the control of overtime. Approve vacation requests and other leave.
Participate in the hiring process. When necessary, interview and test applicants. Verify that managers are trained to conduct effective and legal interviews of applicants.
Perform evaluations on members of your team and recommend pay raises. Verify that managers are completing evaluations on time and submitting requests for pay increases when appropriate.
Initiate disciplinary action. Counsel members of the team and take disciplinary action when necessary.
Maintain stock of uniforms and other supplies to meet the needs of the locations.
Listen to customers and solicit their feedback. Investigate and respond to customer complaints. Listen to team members and solicit their feedback. Communicate their ideas and concerns to the rest of the management team.
Work special functions. Help set up new stores and close old ones.
Work register for store meetings and emergencies.
