Administrative Coordinator

The Economic Development Corporation of Kansas City, Missouri is accepting applications for the position of Administrative Coordinator.  This full-time staff assists the VP of Business Development in all aspects of carrying out her/his duties, including coordinating meetings, conferences, travel arrangements, and event registration. Facilitates preparation of bi-weekly department meetings.  Collects and organizes agenda content and assembles related documents.  Responsible for managing all reporting, reference materials, policies, presentations, and correspondence relative to the Business Development functions of the agency.  Completes technical tasks in the Business Development area such as new employee orientation, & collection of documents.  Establishes and maintains business development files.  Ensures accurate and accessible document management procedures. Communicates organizational and department policies to new employees.  Develops and implements improved office procedural changes to ensure compliance with policy and executes at the direction of the VP of Business Development.  Ensures accuracy and thoroughness of information by consulting all available resources in preparation and confirmation of both written and statistical information prior to release, publication, and distribution.    

 

The qualified candidate must take the initiative to understand key issues facing the EDC and its affiliate agencies to be of assistance in correctly answering inquiries and compiling information.    Ability to maintain confidential information in a professional and ethical manner.  Effective time management skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision required.  Able to prioritize and organize in a fast-paced environment and work overtime on short notice.  Strong writing skills and a basic understanding of the Microsoft Office suite are required.   This is a full-time exempt position with a salary commensurate with experience.
