Danisco US, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of International Flavors & Fragrances, Inc. seeks Scientist Food Enzymology in New Century, KS to dvlp biochemical, enzymatic, & analytical assays to predict enzyme performance in food systs. Req's: Master's or foreign equiv in Biochemistry, Bioanalytics, or Nutrition Sci & 5 yrs of progressively responsible exp in job offered or rel. occupation: working in food rel. field; conducting analysis of UV/Vis, HPLC, CE, LC/MS & C/MS on carbohydrates, proteins & other macro- & micronutrients from complex mixtures & systs; applying analytical techniques & instrumentation in analyses of small organics, inorganics, & macromolecules incl LC/MS, MALDI-ToF, GC/MS to assess & dvlp new tech & methodologies; applying theoretical & practical aspects of biochemistry/enzymology & protein structure function to routine enzymatic & biochemical assays administering isolation & quantification of micronutrients, incl anti-nutritional factors such as phytic acid & various oligosaccharides; utilizing understanding of enzyme performance & bioavailability impacts, & relationship w/final food products; & conducting qualitative & quant data analysis & performing systematic statistical evals using different softw incl SAS/JMP.
