Job Summary:
Provide management and direction for the administration, operations and maintenance of the Citys wastewater treatment plant. Serves as liaison with between federal, state and local government regulators whose purview covers the activities of the division. Directly supervises the supervisory and clerical staff and is indirectly responsible for all the staff of the division to support 24/7/365 operational requirements. Prepares administers and monitors the divisions budget. Integral to the position superintendent of Water Protection is the responsibility for developing subordinates to their fullest potential by exercising appropriate degrees of coaching, training, guiding, evaluating, correcting and, if necessary, disciplining.
Education Requirement: High School Diploma and any combination of formal education and work experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. Associate degree in engineering technology, environmental science or related field preferred.
