STREETCAR PROGRAM COORDINATOR (Analyst)

Full-time position available with KCMO’s Public Works Department, Multimodal
Transportation Division, 414 E. 12 th St. Normal Work Days/Hours: Monday-Friday,
8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. on call hours when needed.
Coordinates with City departments, regulatory agencies, and contracted transit service providers to ensure compliance with local, state and federal regulations, working under the broad supervision of the Transit
Operations Division Head. Completes and maintains plans, procedures, and performance standards for the safe and secure, reliable operation of the streetcar system. Routinely interacts with staff of HTSI (the operations and maintenance contractor), KC Streetcar Authority and KCATA as well as regulatory agencies such
as the MoDOT State Safety Oversight Agency (MoDOT SSOA) and TSA Department of Homeland Security in the oversight of safe and secure transit operations. Primary responsibilities include safety and security audits, transit asset management, field inspections and environmental compliance, data analysis for
performance target management relative to the systems federally-required development
and implementation of a Safety Management System (SMS), and coordination for track access by utilities and
contractors. Engages in financial management / analysis, process improvements research / analysis and
various other activities in support of safety risk management, assurance and promotion.
REQUIRES an accredited Masters degree in public or business administration, urban
or regional planning, economics, accounting, finance or a related field; OR an
accredited Bachelors degree in public or business administration, urban or regional
planning, economics, accounting, finance or a related field and 1 year of professional
experience in public or business administration, corporate or municipal
finance, budget, research, accounting or a related field.
Salary Range: $3,957-$6,769/month.
