Full-time positionavailable with KCMO’s General ServicesDepartment, ProcurementDivision, 414 E. 12th St.Normal Work Days/Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.Performs multiple Supply Chain functions, including planning, coordinating and supervising the City's central procurement activities. Consolidates the needs of departments by standardizing supplies, materials, services and equipment. Confers with suppliers and representatives regarding products and materials, equipment, supplies, services, prices and trade and cash deposits. Handles multiple demands by setting priorities, allocating time effectively, and working in a team and customer focused environment. Follows procedures for construction and non-construction procurements. Serves as the central contact for City departments and monitors and analyzes vendor/supplier performance and resolves issues. Attends bid openings, maintains pertinent information related to the bid process, and processes legal advertisements for bids. Competitively solicits bids and proposals for commodities, professional services, construction services, and other services for the City departments, which includes: researching, receiving and analyzing specifications and requirements, and researching and recommending sources for purchase, Researches and utilizes cooperative agreements. Acts as a lead worker and performs related duties as required.REQUIRES an accredited Bachelor's degree and 2 years of progressively responsible procurement experience at the level of the City's Procurement Officer; OR an accredited Associate’s degree and 4 years of progressively responsible procurement experience at the level of the City's Procurement Officer; OR an equivalent combination of qualifying education and experience.Preference for Procurement Certifications such as CPM, CPPO, or CPPB.Salary Range: $3,957-$6,702/month.ApplicationDeadline: December 3, 2018.
