Full-time position available with KCMO’s
Municipal Court Department, Probation
Division, 511 E. 11 th St. Normal Work
Days/Hours: 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. Assists the
Offender Accountability Coordinator in
implementing comprehensive procedures
and policies for the domestic violence
programs. Develops a comprehensive set of
procedures to utilize the DVRNA screening
tool to be used with domestic violence
offenders to determine the level of
supervision each offender will need to
comply with during the pendency of their
probationary period. Works closely with the
Domestic Violence Judge in enforcing
probation conditions ordered by the Judge
and reporting violations in a timely manner.
Needs to have comfort working closely with
inmate populations and inside correctional
institutions. Maintains the schedule for
check-ins. Monitors compliance of all
defendants assigned to his or her caseload.
This may include domestic violence and
non-domestic violence related offenses.
Assists the specialty court and probation
divisions with random urine analysis testing
and machine maintenance, pretrial
assessments and screenings. Maintains file
violation reports with the appropriate
division and is available to appear in court
on assigned probation dockets. Writes
reports on matters related to domestic
violence and probation related offenders,
while ensuring that all database systems are
promptly and accurately updated.
Communicates and collaborates with
external and internal customers to analyze
safety impacts on victims and to enhance
offender compliance with probation
conditions. REQUIRES an accredited
Bachelor's degree in public or business
administration, liberal arts or a related field
and at least 3 years of progressively
professional experience in governmental
administration or in private sector
administration at the level of the City’s
Administrative Assistant; OR an equivalent
combination of qualifying education and
experience. Preference given for court,
probation, domestic violence, victim
advocacy or corrections experience.
Salary Range: $19.34-$33.88/hour.
