Full-time position available with KCMO’s Neighborhood & Housing Services Department, Neighborhood Engagement Section Division, 4400 Blue Parkway. Normal Work Days/Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. with frequent evening and Saturday hours. Creates, plans, implements, and evaluates a training curriculum designed to educate landlords, property owners and rental occupants of city ordinances and resources. Designs and delivers courses using city code of ordinances. Researches best practices and develops and refines instructional content and measuring tools and techniques to evaluate the effectiveness of the training. Partners with subject matter experts and internal partners to develop training curriculum. Meets with the public and explains city rules and policies and handles complaints. REQUIRES an accredited Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, or a related field and 3 years of related professional experience of a progressively responsible nature in housing and community development, neighborhood preservation or neighborhood services; OR an accredited Master’s degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, or a related field and 1 year of related professional experience in housing and community development, neighborhood preservation or neighborhood services; OR an equivalent combination of qualifying education and experience. Preference given to candidates with experience in curriculum design and development, adult learning, instruction and facilitation for adult learners, program assessment and evaluation.
