Several seasonal positions available with KCMO’sParks&Recreation Department,Natural Resources Management Division, 4600 E. 63rd St.Normal Work Days/Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. may include some evenings or weekends. Gain invaluable experience as an intern in the Parks & Recreation Department. Carries out a project under the guidance of a supervisor in the areas of recreation, park maintenance, forestry, and park planning. Examples of projects could include (but are not limited to): recreation program development and implementation; surveying parks and park amenities; working with City foresters; and working with landscape architects in park development or with natural resources or ecology related work.REQUIRES 60 credit hours completed from an accredited college or university. Preferencegiven for course work in recreation, leisure studies, sports management, environmental studies, conservation, natural resources management, kinesiology, physical therapy, planning, engineering, architecture, landscape architecture, public administration, or a related field.Starting Salary: $12.69/hour.
