Full-time positionavailable with KCMO’s General Services Department, Facilities Division, 414 E. 12th St. Normal Work Days/Hours: Monday-Thursday, 7:00 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Inspects, maintains, repairs and troubleshoots equipment within the Municipal Complex. Operates various pumps, heating and air conditioning systems, emergency power and transfer systems, multi-stage water system, multi-zone two pipe steam and vacuum condensate systems, waste/heat/snow melt &Metasys building automation systems. Repairs doors, locking mechanisms, plumbing and drainage systems. Utilizes various tools & equipment for snow removal at various facilities.Troubleshoots basic electrical issues. Uses knowledge of computers and possesses the ability to read blueprints. Understands the importance of proper safety habits & knowledge of "lock out & tag out", and personal protective equipment. REQUIRES high school graduation and 4 years of experience in a variety of mechanical crafts and trade; OR an equivalent combination of qualifying education and experience. Must possess a valid state-issued driver’s license in accordance with City of KCMO policies.May be required to obtain a valid MO Class A, B, or C CDL prior to the end of the probationary period as determined by the department.Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and post-offer physical examination as prescribed by the City.Preference given for experience working with automation systems of buildings and reading blueprints.Salary Range: $16.64-$26.60/hour.ApplicationDeadline: January 14, 2019.
