Several seasonal positionsavailable with KCMO’s Parks & Recreation Department at MULTIPLE COMMUNITY CENTERS. Normal Work Days/Hours: Monday-Friday, 7:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m., may include some evenings or weekend shifts. Assists in the direction and organization of campers in their camp group. Participates in the development and implementation of program activities by leading or assisting with teaching activities. Actively participates in all program areas as assigned. Assists with programs as directed. Maintains high standards of health/safety in all activities for campers/staff, including recognition of personal health needs, being alert to campers/staff needs and assisting when necessary, and being alert to equipment/facilities to ensure proper utilization, proper care, maintenance is adhered to. Reports needed repairs promptly to camp director. Serves as a role model to campers/staff in attitude/behavior by following/upholding all safety/security rules/procedures and setting a good example in regard to general camp procedures/practices, including sanitation, schedule, sportsmanship.REQUIRES high school graduation. May/June 2019 graduates conditionally accepted. May be required to possess a valid state-issued driver’s license in accordance with City of KCMO policies.
