Full-timepositionavailable with KCMO’s Human Relations Department, Compliance Division, 414 E. 12th St.Normal Work Days/Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.Acts as the compliance liaison for the EDCKC. Coordinates all assigned administrative work, including data analysis, monthly reports, and special reports as requested from Agency Heads and operating rules and regulations. Work may involve meeting the public, working with attorneys, City Council, City Manager, and explaining city rules and policies and handling complaints. Supervises the clerical activities and prepares analyses and reports. Creates improved systems, procedures, and forms. Conducts surveys and collects information on operational and administrative problems, analyzes findings and makes reports of practical solutions. Prepares manuals and other formal statements of improved procedures, methods and systems of operations.Assists with the preparation and administration of Affirmative Action policies and statistical studies for the Division Head.Confers with persons requesting service or making complaints on matters of importance to the Human Relations Department. Disposes of cases handled in accordance with established departmental policies and regulations. Prepares and/or presents informational material for monthly, special and annual reports. Performs related duties as required.REQUIRES an accredited Bachelor's degree and 3 years of progressively responsible, professional experience in business or public sector administration, with at least 2 years at the level of the City’s Senior Administrative Assistant; OR an equivalent combination of qualifying education and experience, with at least 3 years at the level of the City’s Senior Administrative Assistant. Preference given to those with at least 2 years of experience working with economic development tax incentives, applying constitutional law in a government setting, working with ACCA (American Contract Compliance Association) contract compliance best practices, and possession of a Certificate in Economic Development (CEcD).Salary Range: $4,065-$6,702/month Application Deadline: July 2, 2018.
