Full-time positions available with the Health Department, Coronavirus Division, 1111 Locust.
Normal Work Days/Hours: Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m., telework available.
As a condition of employment with the City of KCMO Health Department, all new employees will be required to submit or provide documentation of receiving an influenza (Flu) Vaccination. We are seeking a highly motivated individual to serve as the KCHD Sustainability Coordinator. Must be self-starting and motivated to drive change using all resources at hand. Partners with local City departments, libraries, and other service districts to identify and coordinate sustainability and department infrastructure initiatives. Researches and develops reports, coordinates events, and communicates with a wide range of stakeholders toward the implementation of innovative program and policy strategies. Builds a local network that is resilient against future threats, such as pandemics and other natural disasters. Assists in implementing and tracking the Health Department’s strategic plan and support committee to foster a robust public health infrastructure that can meet current and future health needs.
REQUIRES an accredited Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of health related work experience, including 1 years at a level comparable to a Public Health Specialist; OR an accredited Master’s degree and 1 year of health related work experience at a level comparable to a Public Health Specialist; OR an accredited Master’s degree in Public Health; OR an equivalent combination of qualifying education and experience. Must pass a preemployment drug screen and post offer physical examination as prescribed by the City.
Salary Range: $24.77-$37.16/hour.
