Full-time position available with the Finance Department, Accounts Division,
414 East 12th Street.
Normal Work Days/Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.
Designs and develops ad-hoc queries to assist Departments in reporting financial information. Preforms the month end and monthly reconciliation process for the Accounts Payable module. Supports the fiscal year and close process, 1099 reporting process and assist the fiscal year end Purchase Order (PO) roll forward process. Provides functional end user consultation for the Accounts Payable module. Provides support to identify solutions for system issues and coordinate fixes with the City’s technical analysts. Monitors integration processes with other PeopleSoft modules including HR Payroll, General Ledger, Asset Management, Purchasing, Project Costing and so on. Provides support and assist in solving issues related to various interfaces. Provides testing support of the Accounts Payable module for system changes, upgrades, enhancements and fixes including integration testing with Purchasing and the General Ledger. Assists departmental Fiscal Officers in correcting transactions by reviewing the transaction and providing a solution. Performs duties related to unclaimed property and escheatment. Instructs end user Accounts Payable training classes on a quarterly or on an as needed basis. Approves new suppliers to be setup in the financial system and perform special projects and other tasks as assigned. Supervises Accounts Payable staff. Serves as a potential lead or backup for the Procurement, Asset Management and Project Costing Modules in PeopleSoft Financials.
REQUIRES an accredited Master's degree in public or business administration, urban or regional planning, economics, accounting, finance or a related field and 3 (OR an accredited Bachelor's degree in the listed fields and 5) years of progressively responsible, professional experience in public or business administration, corporate or municipal finance, budget, research, accounting or a related field, including 2 years of experience at the Analyst level.
Salary Range: $5,794-$8,833/month.
