Two full-time positions available with KCMO’s City Planning & Development Department, Longe Range Planning & Preservation Division, 414 East 12th Street.
Normal Work Days/Hours: Monday-Friday,8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m., telework available 1 day a week after 6 months probation period.
Performs regular maintenance and analysis of geographic and tabular data related to development and urban planning, including but not limited to census data, land use patterns, major development projects and building permits. Provides comprehensive technical services in the form of data development and maintenance, document and report generation, and map production. Maintains knowledgeable in current software (Microsoft Office suite, ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, and Adobe CC) and utilizes knowledge to create data summaries, professional maps and graphics, and trend analysis and forecasts by applying appropriate tools within a fixed timeframe.
REQUIRES high school graduation and 5 years of responsible experience in the various phases and techniques of planning illustration, including cartography and map work; OR an equivalent combination of qualifying experience and education. Preference given to candidates who possess prior experience with ESRI products or with Relational Management Database Systems such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MS Access.
Salary Range: $20.48-$30.71/hour.
