Full-time position available with KCMO’s Parks & Recreation Department,
Community Services Division, 4600 E. 63 rd St.

Normal Work Days/Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.; some nights and weekends.

Oversees and/or implements KC Parks Athletics, Inclusive Programming, 5 Community Centers and its programming. Focuses on Active Aging programming, Summer Youth Enrichment and Mayor's Nights Summer Teen Programs. Oversees cooperative agreements between several partners - KC Parks, Camp Fire Heartland,
Boys and Girls Club of Greater KC, KC Public School District, Mattie Rhodes, Guadalupe Centers, Atkins Group and ArtsTech. Acts as a liaison to coordinate and provide budget guidance to community center staff to provide quality and consistent programming that follows the policy and procedures set forth by KC Parks.

REQUIRES an accredited Bachelor’s degree in recreation, physical education, education, public administration, or related field and 3 years of progressively responsible experience in supervision or management of recreation or public programs; OR an equivalent combination of qualifying education and experience. Must possess a valid driver’s license in accordance with City of KCMO policies. Must pass a pre-employment drug screen. Certified Parks and Recreation Professional preferred.

Salary Range: $4,230-$7,534/month.
