Full-time position available with the General Services Department, IT Division, 414 E. 12th St.
Normal Work Days/Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.
Provides support for all aspects of the central IT customer service delivery process at the departmental level for the city. Serves as the departmental customer advocate for planning, designing, prioritizing, procurement, implementation, and lifecycle management of the Information Technology Division services for the designated departments. Participates and when necessarily leads the customer departments IT governance approval process for the acquisition of and utilization of all departmental IT related equipment, applications, services, networking, and systems and helps with prioritizing requests for service enhancements and new technology implementations to ensure the most cost-effective business alignment of IT services. Effectively manages assigned team members at the central IT and departmental IT level to ensure that team members are meeting both organization services level commitments. Acts as the subject matter expert for ITD when engaging in departmental or city leadership meetings and technology presentations. Develops business cases and overall project strategies including project plans for major efforts that satisfy the IT business needs of the assigned departments(s) for review and approval by management. This position is critical to the IT Divisions direction for consolidation of IT services and staffing. Develops superior working relationships with a diverse group of departmental business representatives to build customer confidence and gain an understanding of the complex nature of the departments business model and strategic direction. The Success of all IT Division customer engagements depends on building these types of professional customer service business relationships which will include coordinating IT projects and managing the IT Governance processes to meet both central IT and departmental IT needs/demands. Builds relations as a trusted IT business partner with key departmental stakeholders and acts as a focal point for delivery of IT services.
REQUIRES an accredited Bachelor's degree and 4 years of technology experience; OR an equivalent combination of qualifying education and technology experience.
Salary Range: $5,794-$8,833/month.
