Full-time positions available with the Aviation Department, Field Maintenance Division,
154 Tokyo St., KCI Airport.
Normal Work Days/Hours: 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. Mandatory overtime during inclement weather.
Installs, maintains and repairs public address systems, security systems, CCTV systems, card readers, motion sensors, gate operators, communication devices, audio and recording devices, electronic information signage, and UPS systems. Diagnoses problems with equipment and instruments, as well as following preventive maintenance schedules when applicable. Work is reviewed in process and upon completion. Knowledgeable in the use of multi-meters, hand tools, and computers and strong ability to troubleshoot many various types of electronic systems, install new equipment and make repairs. Performs emergency snow removal operations on an assigned shift on the airfield and communicates in English via 2-way radio with the control tower.
REQUIRES high school graduation and 3 years of experience as an electronics technician or telecommunications technician; OR an Associate's degree or its equivalent in electronics and 1 year of related experience. May be required to possess valid state-issued driver’s license in accordance with the City of KCMO policies. Must successfully complete a 10-year FAA background check. Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and post-offer physical examination as prescribed by the City.
Salary Range: $22.61-$34.48/hour.
