Two full-time positions available with the City Auditor’s Office, 414 E. 12th St.
Normal Work Days/Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.; flexible hours and hybrid work schedules available.
Interested in an opportunity to help make a difference in local government? The city auditor is looking for an auditor to assist in evaluating the performance of city departments, programs, and activities. Conducts independent performance audits to evaluate the work of city government and provide elected officials, city management, and the public with objective information and recommendations to improve city operations and strengthen city government’s accountability to the public. Involves analysis, quantitative and qualitative research, curiosity, and critical thinking. Assists with audit planning, gathering, organizing, and analyzing data, and summarizing audit results.
REQUIRES an accredited Master's degree in public or business administration, accounting, information systems, social sciences, statistics, law or a related field; OR an accredited Bachelor's degree in public or business administration, economics, accounting, finance, information systems, social sciences, statistics, or a related field supplemented by 1 year of professional experience in public or government auditing, public or business administration, corporate or municipal finance, budget, program evaluation, research, accounting or a related field. Salary Range: $4,124-$6,186/month.
