Full-time position available with the Aviation Department, Planning & Engineering Division,
601 Brasilia Ave., KCI Airport.
Normal Work Days/Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Serves as an airport liaison with CREO on oversight of Airport Capital Programs at MCI and MKC. Coordinates with City Departments and Aviation DBE coordinator to ensure contracts meet DBE and Title VI program. Submits reports and provides proper documentation for the comprehensive contract compliance program. Assists with site visits of all Airport capital programs, to include but not limited to, landside, airside, parking facilities, and building facilities to ensure compliance with all Department, City, State, and Federal requirements. Ensures the airport has internal controls that adequately measure and manage any risks associated with projects and construction contracts. Ensures continual monitoring and review of compliance procedures to help identify possible areas where improvements need made. Performs duties of Contract Administrator for KCAD, with coordination of appropriate Divisions within Department, and other City Departments. Performs periodic reviews of design and construction contracts, and assists with our Senior Contract Specialist.
Requires an accredited Bachelor's degree and 3 years of progressively responsible, professional experience in business or public sector administration, with at least 2 years at the level of Senior Administrative Assistant; OR an equivalent combination of qualifying education and experience, with at least 3 years at the level of Senior Administrative Assistant. Must successfully complete a 10-year FAA background check. Preference given to candidates with experience in project construction and/or field work, contract writing and/or contract documentation, or familiarity with FAA and/or government agencies as it relates to contract compliance.
Salary Range: $4,619 - $6,928/month.
